The Brotherhood Chooses Its Guide Today Or ……..on Saturday

I do not get what is really happening in the Muslim brotherhood. All what I know is that either today , Thursday or next Saturday they will elect a new guide after months and weeks of rumors and tension within the most famous and oldest banned groups in the country.
Some newspapers say that the elections will be today while other newspapers say that there will be elections of Saturday because of the disagreement of the international Muslim brotherhood branch
I am not an expert in the Muslim brotherhood issues but it is very interesting to see all this disagreement and all this tension in the same year of the parliamentary elections. I fear that the brotherhood will lose more seats in the parliament because of their internal problems than because of cheating.
Dr. Mohamed Badi is expected to be chosen as the general guide of the Muslim brotherhood still there is some opposition from the international branch.
Again I am not an expert in the MB internal issue but I just fear that losing reformists like Mohamed Habib and Abdel Manam Abu El-Fatouh is too much ; the opposition needs unity and I am afraid that conservatives of MB which are taking over the group now against Habib’s front are that welcoming to stand with other parties and groups in the country because of their ideologies.
Anyhow here is a great interview from Dr. Abdel Manam Abu El-Fatouh with Mona El-Shazely about the current crisis in the group.

Abu El-Fatouh is famous for his confrontation with President Sadat in Cairo university in 1970s which was recorded and became an internet sensation of its own to all political activists, MBs and sadat Haters despite the fact that the man in 2010 was sorry for the way he talked to President with. “It was not really polite and despite that strangely he was not sent to jail after it”
Abu El-Fatouh considered the time of President Sadat was better than the man before him and the man after him.
The Muslim brotherhood will lose a lot without men like Abu El-Fatouh and Mohamed Habib

  2. Good, I hope to see the Muslim Brotherhood fall flat on their face.

Not that the Mubarak Regime is any better, I hate both, but the Muslim Brotherhood will turn our once liberal country, into a backward wahabi nation like Saudi Arabia.

I wish the Muslim Brotherhood could disappear of the face of the earth.
